Here's the Story

In May 1968, while students were protesting in the streets of Paris, importer John Reynolds arrived in New York's Central Park carrying a few Danish School Bags. "Get ready, New York," he thought to himself as he headed down into the park. Well, it doesn't take a degree from the Sorbonne to recognize a great new product, so when Anna Youree spotted John with these bags, she interrupted her dejeuner sur l'herbe (lunch on the grass) and called him over. "Over here," she called out, putting down her napkin. Anna quickly bought all three bags and sold them that afternoon at her popular children's shop, The Chocolate Soup. The bags quickly caught on and another New York legend was born. The rest is history.
